The rule
Send only email that the recipient asked for, expects, or needs to run an account or transaction they started. Think OTP codes, receipts, password resets, order and booking updates, security alerts and account notices.
Not allowed
- Unsolicited bulk or cold email, including to purchased, rented, scraped or harvested lists.
- Marketing or promotional email to people who have not opted in.
- Phishing, scams, malware, deceptive or misleading content, or impersonating another person or company.
- Forged or misleading sender details, or sending from a domain you do not control.
- Illegal content, or content that targets or harasses people.
- Evading our limits, suppression list, or abuse controls, including by creating multiple accounts.
- Probing, overloading or attacking Traffsite or other people's systems.
What we expect from you
- Verify your sending domain with the DNS records we provide.
- Collect addresses honestly and keep your list accurate.
- Remove addresses that bounce or complain. We add permanent bounces and complaints to your suppression list for you, and you should not override it without a good reason.
- Include a way to reach you in messages where that is appropriate to the mail type.
How we monitor
We watch bounce and complaint rates and sending patterns. New accounts start with a low daily sending limit that rises as your account builds a good record. If rates become unhealthy we may slow or pause sending while we look into it.
What happens if you break it
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, limit sending, suspend the account or close it. We may report illegal activity to the authorities. Fees already paid for packs used in violation are not refunded.
If you received unwanted mail sent through Traffsite, write to [email protected] and include the full message headers. We review every report.
